Opening Times

Please note : We are changing our business days and will no longer be open on a Monday.

Trading Days: Tuesday-Sunday 8 am till 8 pm in the summer and 8 am till dusk in the Winter.

There will be exceptions to this as both Terry and myself need this time to try and have a rest and a break! We have chosen a Monday as this is our quietest day of the week.

Many thanks for your support and understanding

Fly Fishing in Worcester

Bransford Game Fisheries comprise three picturesque pools (depths of the pools can be up to 25ft), with superb views down the Teme valley in the heart of Worcestershire. The Island Pool (the Catch and Release Pool), is Spring-fed, whilst the Lodge and Walton Pools are replenished from a subterranean reservoir of Malvern Spring Water. The presence of large numbers of Cray-fish is proof of the purity of the water in all three pools.

Stocking:

The pools are stocked on a regular basis with Shasta Rainbow Trout from Bibury Trout Farm, these fish are renowned for their fighting qualities. The Average weight is 2.9 lbs and the record to-date is 18lbs 4ozs. There are considerable numbers of Brown Trout in the Lodge and Walton Pools, between 3lbs and 6 lbs in weight. These must be returned if hooked.

Facilities:

There are food facilities with tea and coffee on a self-service basis, a microwave for the convenience of anglers as well as restroom facilities.

Pools are accessible to wheelchair users via casting platforms.  There is a disabled toilet available via the office.

A fridge is provided to store fish in.

Wildlife at the fishery

Bransford Game Fisheries is home to a wealth of wildlife including rare Water voles, fresh water crayfish and swans.

The Fishery was featured on the front page of Trout Fisherman in February 1999, together with a very complimentary write-up and account of the ancillary activities.
